About Touch New Zealand
Touch New Zealand is a member of the Incorporated Societies and is a non-profit organisation. It is an affiliated member of the Federation of International Touch, which holds a current listing of 29 nations.
Over 230,000 New Zealanders play Touch. This figure is made up over 70,000 under 17 year olds and 160,000 adults. The delivery of the sport is supported by 750 qualified referees along with team coaches and managers, and 144 competition organisers.
At Touch NZ we are not in the business of sport, we are in the business of Entertainment. This spans from grassroots social Touch, to our Elite Touch Blacks, to our very important spectators.
The Touch NZ infrastructure is made up of 12 full-time staff, 19 Provincial Associations and over 100 affiliated modules. The organisation is governed by the Touch New Zealand Board that is elected, under the constitution, at the Annual General Meeting.
Touch has been through a rebuilding phase internally and a refocus on what is truly important to run an effective business and provide excellence in the products that we offer.
Below are the core values and guiding principals we have built our strategic plan and annual plan around.
