MyTouch Manager Game Day App

What does the Game Day App do?

Use it to:

  • Create Team Sheets from your squad of eligible players prior to each game
  • Score games
  • Submit results

When a team scores through the App, live scores will be displayed wherever the results are published on websites that display the Sporty draws widget.

How do I use it?

1. Register as a referee or obtain a scorer code for your team

Anyone who wants to use the App to score games must have credentials to access thier team fixtures. There are two methods to achieve this:

a) Request a scorer code from your Team Manager.  When you get to Step 3 (Login), you can register and add your scorer code.

b) Alternatively, Register to your organisation on an official form.  Once you've registered, your Province or Module administrator can see your record in their Teambuilder view, so can add you to your team(s) and add a permission to give you a Scorer login. When they do this, you'll automatically recieve an email that lets you set your own password that you can then use to login to the Sign In icon in the App.

If you are a referee, register to your Province or Module on an official form.  Once you've registered, your Competition Organiser will assign you to a fixture, then add a permission to give you an Official Scorer login. When they do this, you'll automatically recieve an email that lets you set your own password that you can then use to login to the Sign In icon in the App.

2. Download MyTouch Manager

Find and download the MyTouch Manager App from the App Store or Google Play

3. Login

Once you have downloaded the MyTouch Manager app, tap the Sign In button and login. Then follow the instructions in the Scorer's Guide to set team sheets and score games.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General

Will we still do paper team sheets, match reports, collect signatures or text in our scorers?

Nationals and Junior National Tournaments will be scored via the MyTouch Manager app.

Modules may still use paper. Please confirm with your module administrator.

Which competitions/grades will use the app?

The decision will be made by your Competition Organiser.

Who will have access to submit teamsheets and submit scores through the app?

Anyone that your team gives access to. This could be Captain, Coach, Manager, Parent Volunteer, Spectators Players etc.

How do I get the App?

It's available now in the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.

Do you have to be online/using data to use the app?

Only to select a team or submit a final result, everything else can be done offline on game day.

As a manager, how do I get access?

Ask your Module Administrator or Team Manager for your team “scorer code”. Register as a user to the App, then enter your scorer code.

As a referee, how do I get access?

Your Competition Administrator will generate an acces email when you are assigned to your first official fixture after registering.

I forgot my password

Click this link to reset your password. Simply enter your username (this will normally be your email address), click submit, and a password reset email will be sent to you.

My phone died and I need to submit a team list, what do I do?

  • Keep a hard copy of the results and enter when you get home.
  • Your club should have given access to more than one person in your team, ask around and submit team list through them.

I have logged in, and I can't see my game?

  • Has your draw been created? You can tell by checking on the website or on the draws button.
  • Ask your Province Administrator or Team Manager to check that you appear as a scorer for your team in Teambuilder.  If you are not displayed as a team-member, you will need to input the scorer code again to link you to the team.
  • If this still does not resolve your issue, please note your username, the device you are using, and the Version of the App you are running (click menu at top right to find this). Give this information to your Competition Manager.  They can contact our support team on your behalf with details of the Module, Team, and your user details so we can investigate further.

What happens on Game Days if no-one has the app to score our game?

We recommend that more than 1 person in the team is given Scorer access for their team, or the Team Manager provides their device to a spectator to score the game for you.

The referee score submission will always be provided to your Competition Manager as the final score for the game.

Team Selection

How will the players get on the Team Sheet?

All players must be registered to appear for selection in a game day team. Unregistered players will not be able to be loaded to a game day team.

Some of my players aren't there, why?

  • Check to see if they belong to another team, do this by tapping "Select from other team" in the app
  • The player has registered, but they haven't been assigned to a squad/team
  • The player is not registered.

Solution: player needs to register online and club admin needs to assign that player to the team so you can select them.

Do we have to select our team in the App?

Selecting your "Game Day Team" is an important part of the process in monitoring player eligibility. If a game day team is not selected, you can still score the game, but the try statistics will not be counted against a player, and we will be unable to count this game towards your "games played" tally for finals.

What do we do if we need to borrow players to make up our team?

You can select other players from your organisation to play in your game day team by clicking the "Select from other squad" option. Your association eligibility rules apply.

When do my results and team sheets need to be submitted by?

These timeframes will be set by your Competition Manager. Please confirm with your Competition Managertheir requirements.

    Scoring

I selected the wrong team to start the game.

If you selected the wrong team to tap the ball to start, click Pause, then Delete.  You can now re-start the game with the correct team.

What if we can't agree on the score between the two teams?

Follow your Competition Manager procedures for official score submissions. The referee submission of score is generally accepted as final. To resolve a contested score in the app, you can scroll back through the 'scoring events' and see if you can identify the issue then correct it.

Why isn't my live scoring updating to the website?

Only the home team scorer can generate a live score for a game.

My phone died or I need to leave in the middle of the game while I am scoring, what do I do?

Before your phone goes flat, request someone else on the team logs in and "catches up" to the score that you are keeping.  They can submit the final score on their own device, and you can "delete" your record of the game. Your referee will always submit the final result for the fixture.

My app is showing the end of half score in Red. What does this mean?

The app performs checks of your score submission vs the opposition team score submission to confirm your scores match.  If the score displays in Red, this means there is a conflict in the score.  When the score changes back to Green, this indicates both teams have the same score recorded.

What if our game goes to drop-off?

If your game goes to drop-off, you can continue to score the game as an extension of the 2nd half.  The team that should tap the ball to start the drop-off period will be the team that does NOT display in Teal. Check the Game went to Drop-Off field when making your final score submission.
