Pathways, Performance & Events Coordinator

Touch NZ is on the lookout for a highly organised, tech-savvy, and motivated Pathways, Performance & Events Coordinator to support the delivery of our national events, high-performance programmes, and player pathways. This dynamic role includes everything from logistics and admin to budget support, IT systems, and on-the-ground event coordination. About the Role

The Pathways, Performance & Events Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, logistical, and operational support across Touch NZ’s events, pathways, and high-performance programmes. This role is integral in ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of campaigns, camps, and events, while maintaining high standards of administration, systems management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administration and logistics support for Touch NZ events, pathways, and high-performance programmes.

  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies, resources, systems, and best practices.

  • Maintain and manage efficient administrative systems, processes, databases, and IT tools.

  • Coordinate apparel and equipment orders, distribution, and stocktaking for relevant programmes.

  • Support budgeting processes and financial reconciliations.

  • Attend and support all assigned events, camps, and campaigns.

  • Represent Touch NZ professionally with internal and external stakeholders, upholding organisational values.

  • Provide reports, risk updates, and general assistance to the Pathways & Events Manager and other staff as required.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in administration and project coordination.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse audiences.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience working with IT systems and tools; familiarity with sports analysis systems is advantageous.

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Experience in sport, particularly Touch, is desirable.

The role is full time and based in Auckland. You must be living in or willing to re-locate to Auckland to be eligible to apply for this position. The successful applicant will have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

The successful individual will have:

  • 1.5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to travel away for National and International events

  • Clean police vetting check & clean, full drivers license

  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end evaluation projects.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships.

  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a culturally diverse working environment

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.

Business Development Manager 

About the Opportunity 

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and deliver the organisation’s commercial and revenue programme, building strong partnerships, securing new income opportunities, and supporting the implementation of a refreshed Commercial Strategy.

Reporting directly to the CEO, your responsibilities will include:

Commercial Partnerships

  • Implement and manage a tiered commercial and commercial partnerships framework.
  • Support the acquisition of new partners and renewal of existing agreements.
  • Negotiate and secure multi-year, high-value sponsorships.
  • Coordinate partner servicing, activation, and satisfaction reporting.

Revenue Diversification

  • Grow and diversify income across commercial, grants, government, and user-pays products.
  • Support grant applications, reporting, and recognition programs.
  • Identify opportunities for new funding sources and community engagement.
  • Contribute to broadcast and digital revenue initiatives.

Marketing & Revenue Integration

  • Develop the organisation’s brand story to attract and retain investors and funders.
  • Integrate marketing and fan engagement initiatives to support revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to align sponsorship, participation, and communication strategies.

Planning, Reporting & Governance

  • Contribute to annual revenue plans and budgets for board approval.
  • Maintain CRM systems, reporting dashboards, and partner management tools.
  • Ensure contracts and agreements meet legal, brand, and policy requirements.
  • Report regularly to the CEO on progress against revenue and partnership KPIs.​​​​​​​

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in commercial partnerships, business development, or revenue generation
  • Experience within sport, entertainment, or related industries would be beneficial 
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with partnership frameworks and tiered sponsorship models
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or brand development would be desirable

You will also have:

  • Financial literacy, including budgeting and reporting experience
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Understanding and respect for Aotearoa New Zealand’s cultural and community environment, particularly Māori and Pacific communities
  • Innovative, adaptable, and resilient approach to problem-solving
