Touch New Zealand are delighted to annouce that Dr. Shane Edwards has joined our Board. 

Dr Edwards is a recognized thought leader, scholar, researcher and change agent in the field of education, leadership and business. He has 30+ years experience in educational and corporate leadership and holds a number of Board roles and brings a vast experience at the Governance level.  

He is a trained teacher and currently Director of his own Research and Evaluation company with an extensive background in both quantitative and qualitative research. He lives in his tribal homeland of Kawhia and includes among his interests working in sports with young people.

Within Touch, Dr Edwards has experience at the provincial level having held roles as an Association President, Coaching Director, Player, Parent and Coach.  On the playing agenda he has played and coached in our sport for 40 years at grassroots, club, national and the International level. Importantly, Shane brings and adds a grounded community and provincial association lens to the Boards work.
