Following a significant amount of work over the past 9 months, Touch New Zealand is looking forward to the launch of the Foundation Referee course on the 13^th September.

 This is the entry point into the referee pathway – ideal if you are just starting out as a referee with little or no experience.  You may be a supportive parent, a player looking to improve your knowledge, or a new referee looking to support your local module.

In this course, you’ll learn about all the fundamental skills and processes used when refereeing touch including the new FIT 5^th Edition Playing Rules, recently adopted by Touch NZ. 

It's broken into ten e-learning topics. There are videos and interactive elements included along the way, and a few checkpoints to test your knowledge. 

You don’t have to complete it all at once. Kei a koe te tikanga – that's up to you. Work through it at your own pace. Remember, you aren’t expected to be an expert after finishing this course. That will come with time and experience.
