Earlier this month, New Zealand was placed under the red traffic light setting. This has drastically affected the way community and representative sport can be run. Touch New Zealand are looking at possible alternatives to hold representative touch this season in line with the current covid protection framework.

Under the current red traffic light setting, community sport can run but they face rules and regulations that have been put in place by the government to keep everyone safe at these events.

Red traffic light (with My Vaccine Pass):

- Outdoor community gatherings (e.g. a community sport) - up to 100 people

Red traffic light (without My Vaccine Pass):

- Outdoor community gatherings (with uncontrolled access, e.g. a public parade) - up to 25 people
