Touch NZ is excited to introduce our new Coaching Development Officer, Luke Chapman. Luke has been heavily involved in the Touch community both as a Coach and a Player. Based in Counties Manukau along with his family, Luke has been a part of many Gold medal wins for the region for both the Under 17 team he coached and the Open Men’s team he played in.  

Luke’s role is aimed at supporting and developing community coaches and coaching systems through areas such as:  

• Coaching course facilitation and delivery·
• Navigating coaches through the coaching pathways and opportunities 
• Assisting viable provincial coaching and player development initiatives 
• Advancing, maintaining, and improving coaching communication and educational systems

Luke is looking forward to giving back to the sport he loves, by contributing his skills and knowledge wherever he can.Welcome to the team Luke!
